Senior Editor and Writer

We want you here. Your creativity, leadership, and attention to detail will be the backbone of our success. We’re a dynamic media company looking for an organizational wizard. You will manage all aspects of project development through to completion, including concept development, staff selection and management, and project budget, timeline, and scope. This is the ground floor and you’re in charge.

Primary Tasks:
--Manage existing projects and relevant staff
--Establish scope, specifications, and feasibility for upcoming projects
--Create and maintain timelines for multiple simultaneous projects
--Work with writers and media developers to conceive and develop compelling written, video, and audio content
--Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project kick-offs, check-ins, internal handoffs, and final deliveries
--Manage internal and external resources and communication to ensure milestones are met on a day-to-day basis, communicating schedule and creative scope changes to ensure consistent team alignment
--Track project progress and communicate status to stakeholders
--Manage and motivate a variety of team members
--Build and foster internal relationships through effective communication and management of expectations

Skills & Experience:
--2+ years of project management experience (informal processes are OK)
--Bachelor's Degree, preferred
--Proficient in non-fiction writing/journalism, including grammar and editing
--Experience coordinating individual staff and teams
--Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
--Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously
--Superior communication skills
--Disney Theme Parks experience and knowledge
--Experience creating/managing audio and video content a plus
--Marketing campaign experience a plus
