At Cambrick Yard, our strategy and planning team is made up of inventive, digitally-minded creators who understand nuances of journalistic and news reporting cornerstones while providing informative, useful, and fun narratives.

We’re currently searching for a motivated, creative, and ambitious Social Media & Brand Development Director to oversee the creation and execution of daily social media content and larger campaigns. The Director will lead our Social team and build a communications team. The ideal candidate has experience with data-driven native and organic storytelling and content promotion. They are well versed in social listening with the expertise to identify evolving social trends and respond proactively. Candidate should be a self-starter who exhibits resourcefulness and demonstrates initiative to lead our team in the day-to-day logistics of planning, implementing, and reporting on social campaigns across a fast-paced and diverse content portfolio.

Candidate must have management experience.

Here’s what you’ll do:
The Director will lead the social media and communications teams in content development and implementation, and hire qualified professionals for social media and communications roles. Your job will include both delegating AND implementation to prove out new ideas and develop processes around successful strategies. You may also be responsible for interacting directly with followers at times.

-- Build and execute strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification
-- Work collaboratively to generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, and video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community member engagement
-- Optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
-- Build strong relationships internally and externally to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions, and to develop social campaigns and content that help us reach our goals
-- Understand the pulse of the social landscape and identify insights and opportunities to help keep our brands at the forefront of our audiences

Here’s what we’re looking for:
-- Bachelor’s degree (focus in Business, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or Social Media a plus)
-- Two or more years of relevant professional experience in social media marketing or related role
-- Two or more years of management experience (at least one direct report)
-- Proven knowledge and experience in the fundamentals of classical marketing & brand cultivation
-- Excellent communication skills
-- Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms, their unique audiences, and how to use them to maximize branding and marketing efforts
-- Exceptional time management skills and interpersonal relations
-- Proficiency in analytics software, search engine optimization, keyword research, and campaign management.
