Video Production Assistant

Join our team as a Video Production Assistant!

At Cambrick Yard, our strategy and planning team is made up of inventive, digitally-minded creators who understand nuances of journalistic and news reporting cornerstones while providing informative, useful, and fun narratives.

Ideal candidates will help shape our video content from inception to publishing. You will work closely with our YouTube Manager, Editors, and On-Screen Talent to manage deadlines and production schedules. Solid writing chops and a creative element are key to this position, as you will also assist with script development and review video edits while assisting in pre and post-production duties.

PRIMARY TASKS

  • Manage footage resources and work with our reporting team to ensure we are always capturing fresh and relevant b-roll
  • Assist in managing existing projects to ensure deadlines are met and production values are upheld
  • Maintain timelines for multiple simultaneous projects
  • Assist with storyboard and pre-production development
  • Prepare broll and video assets for projects
  • Provide valuable feedback on post-production video and assist in finalizing and publishing content
  • Provide any other support to ensure content meets Cambrick Yard's high standards of professionalism, consistency, authenticity, and reliability

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong attention to detail and project follow-through while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well with team members and co-workers
  • Working understanding of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Proficient in non-fiction writing/journalism, including grammar and editing, with a knack for humorous, entertaining copy
  • Extensive Disney Theme Parks experience and knowledge
  • Experience creating/managing video content and graphic design experience a plus

This is a hybrid position with approximately 70% remote work and 30% on-site (our studio or theme parks). Depending on Disney World events, hours may involve early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Candidates will start as a 1099 Contractor in this position. Please indicate in your cover letter your 1099 Contractor hourly rate.
