Social Media Video Editor
Who we are
Cambrick Yard LLC owns and operates two of the most-trusted Disney travel planning resources on the internet. We cover dining, snacks, park and cruise news, and the kind of deeply researched, detail-forward content that a highly engaged audience relies on to plan their trips and stay connected to the parks year-round. Our social channels are where that relationship with our audience is most alive, real-time, responsive, and built on years of credibility.
We are a lean, dedicated team where every person does meaningful work and takes genuine ownership of their role. We move quickly, establish a high bar for quality, and care deeply about what we put into the world.
The role
This is a 40+ hours-per-week visual storytelling role for someone energized by the daily challenge of bringing a great story to life on deadline. You will put your short-form video and photo/carousel editing craft and Disney knowledge to the test every day, creating scroll-stopping short-form video, engaging photo content, and compelling captions for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and beyond. You will react to breaking park news in real time and contribute to a content operation that our followers count on every day.
This role is an editing and post-production role, not a videography or photography role. You will be working with raw photos and video footage captured by our in-park reporters and on-camera team, and your job is to transform that material into polished, scroll-stopping content that tells the story compellingly and on brand. The craft here is in the edit, the sequencing, the pacing, the music, and the storytelling instinct you bring to material that is already in hand.
This role requires frequent evening and weekend coverage. The right candidate thrives on finding the best version of every story and telling it with each brand’s unique outlook, whatever time it drops.
We are looking for someone who is as passionate about the craft of visual storytelling and audience connection as they are about the subject matter. The best content creators we've worked with bring both in equal measure.
What you'll do
- Produce and edit short-form video and photo content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms
- Create scroll-stopping visual assets that reflect our brand voice and quality standards
- Write captions that engage and inform a passionate, knowledgeable audience
- Respond to same-day park news, events, and announcements with timely, well-crafted content
QA and fact-check content before it publishes, as our audience holds us to a high standard of accuracy - Maintain posting schedules and contribute to a healthy, well-organized content queue
- Collaborate with brand leads and other members of the content creation team to bring the vision to life in an organized chaos fashion, incorporating feedback efficiently and iterating with purpose
- Stay current on Disney World news, dining updates, and the broader Disney parks landscape
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate brings a genuine appetite for visual storytelling, someone for whom finding the most compelling way to tell a story is intrinsically motivating, not just a means to an end. Beyond that, we're looking for:
- A proven track record producing and editing short-form video and photo content, with a portfolio that demonstrates your skill and range
- The ability to translate Disney World knowledge into scroll-stopping content that resonates with a deeply engaged audience
- The ability to produce quality work quickly under deadline pressure, without sacrificing accuracy
- Reliable follow-through, where you take ownership of your responsibilities and see them through independently
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to incorporate feedback gracefully and efficiently
- Solid Disney World knowledge and a genuine connection to the parks and their culture
- Availability during evenings and weekends as part of your regular schedule
Experience that will strengthen your application:
- A background creating content for brand or media social accounts, not only personal channels
- Familiarity with content scheduling tools, editorial calendars, or project management systems
- An instinct for what stories resonate with a niche, enthusiast audience
What success looks like
In this role, you'll know you're succeeding when you're creating content that our audience responds to, meeting deadlines with consistency, and becoming a trusted, self-directed contributor to the team. We want someone who grows into this role with confidence, someone who gets sharper, faster, and more connected to our audience over time.
This is a role for a professional who takes their craft seriously. The subject matter is exciting; the work ethic required to do it well is what sets the right candidate apart.
How to apply
We review every application carefully. Attention to detail is paramount in this role, and our hiring process is no exception. Failure to include all of the following components will automatically disqualify you from consideration.
- Your resume
- Your hourly rate requirement
- Your availability to work nights and weekends
- A link to a short-form video or content portfolio showcasing work you created and edited yourself
- Written responses to two of the application questions below
Application questions:
- Walk us through a time a project fell apart mid-execution. A plan changed, an asset fell through, or something went sideways at the last minute. What did you do, what did you save, and what did you let go?
- Describe a piece of content you created that underperformed. What did you think would happen, what actually happened, and what did you take away from it?
- Tell us about a time you had to produce something great with less than ideal assets. Bad lighting, missing footage, a tight window, or information that came in late. What did you make, and how did you make it work?
This is a remote, full-time position. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
